Muesli
Shortly after graduation, the SO and I went on a cruise together (my first!), and one of my favorite parts of the trip was all the good food. Dinner was amazing because we would always go to the fancy dining location and eats tons because the waiter always gave us every single appetizer, every single entree, and every single dessert. It was incredible how we didn't gain any weight after the week.
Breakfast was also good, and that was when I discovered muesli! It's like granola, but without the extra oil and sugar.
I had been craving muesli ever since that trip, and I figured making it myself would be a good way to control the amount of sugar that goes in.
Ingredients
- 4 parts oatmeal
- 1 part dried fruits (i had raisins)
- 2 parts seeds/nuts (i had sunflower seeds and sliced honey almonds)
Methodology
Don't get mad at me because this is going to be a stupidly easy recipe.
Combine all the ingredients listed above in a bowl.
Store it in an airtight container.
You're done.
Results
Pour a little in a bowl, add milk of your choice, and let the mixture sit for a bit to let the oats plump up a bit.
I'm glad I finally made this. :')
Pro-tip though: I would recommend not getting salted sunflower seeds, hah.
